DAM at FORUM WISSENSCHAFTSKOMMUNIKATION
On 12 December, DAM, in cooperation with Helmholtz SynCom and the Research Institute for Sustainability (RIFS), will offer a session entitled “Science in Parliament: How scientists can support policy debates” at this year’s Science Communication Forum, the largest science communication conference in the German-speaking world.
Short description of the contribution:
To be politically relevant, research needs to be communicated in a demand- and solution-oriented way. But which formats support the political debate most effectively? After a brief input on science-policy dialogues and their importance for strengthening democracy, we will discuss in a World Café how to reach key stakeholders, how to ensure the quality of the science-policy dialogue and how to prepare researchers for the dialogue.
