The panel discussion “Ocean Solutions for the Climate Crisis” at the Falling Walls Science Summit 2023 addresses ocean-based solutions for climate change mitigation and adaptation from various perspectives. The potential of the ocean for accelerating decarbonisation merits prioritisation in the global climate-change discourse – in addition to drastic emission reductions. How can we enable technology leaps and foster innovation to unlock the ocean’s potential to mitigate global warming?
